What is (EDGES)?
The Endo/Gynae Diploma of German and Egyptian Societies (EDGES) programme is a structured educational programme for Gynaecological Endoscopy. It trains and certifies knowledge and practical skills prior to surgical competence. It is the official diploma programme of MISSE.
EDGES provides a complete approach to endoscopic education. It consists of three distinct modules each providing a blend of theoretical and surgical skills required by a competent endoscopic surgeon.
It provides participants with the knowledge and psychomotor skills necessary to enter the operating room or start supervised basic endoscopic procedures.
What is (FLS)?
The Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) course at MISSE is designed to provide comprehensive training in laparoscopic surgery, equipping participants with both the technical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to pass the FLS exam. Our structured program ensures that candidates gain hands-on experience with expert guidance from certified trainers, and access to high-quality learning materials to excel in the exam.
What is (MIFLEX)?
The MISSE–ISSA Fellowship of Laparoscopic Excellence (MIFLEX) is an advanced 6-month training programme in gynecologic laparoscopy, designed for specialists and consultants aiming to master high-level endoscopic procedures. The program includes 5 months of structured hands-on training in Egypt followed by an intensive practicall assessment week in Italy. MIFLEX prepares surgeons for European Certification in Gynecological Endoscopy (Level 2) and FLS credentialing, ensuring they gain the skills, confidence, and international qualifications needed for advanced laparoscopic practice.
